Keyword rankings show where your page sits in Google results. AI visibility shows whether an AI assistant mentions your brand in its generated answer, which may sit above those results or replace search altogether. A page can rank well and still be missing from AI answers, and a brand can be recommended by ChatGPT without a top position in Google.
